Free CERP Approval for USLCA Chapters

The USLCA is pleased to announce a new benefit for USLCA chapters. Free CERP approval for your Chapter Meetings/Conferences.

Deadlines: USLCA and ILCA are pleased to offer the opportunity for chapters to acquire free CERPs for chapter-sponsored educational activities. Deadlines for receiving an application are 60 days prior to the program. We recognize that it is not always possible to have all program arrangements in place by this time for educational activities that will take place at chapter meetings. In these circumstances, the Chapter must submit the application to USLCA within 60-days prior to the program with as much information as is available at that time. The remaining information must be submitted by 30 days prior to the program. We are willing to work with you and your chapter to help you meet these deadlines, but we must hear from you at least 60 prior to your program date.

If a chapter is unable to meet these deadlines in order to take advantage of the free CERPs through ILCA’s providership, they can submit their CERP certificate to IBLCE and pay the fee as has been done in the past. This will always remain an option for chapters. The opportunity for free CERPs through ILCA and USLCA is for chapters that can meet the 60 and 30-day deadlines.

Certificates: A chapter using ILCA’s providership must include the following wording on their certificate:
Sponsored by the International Lactation Consultant Association and (name of chapter). CERPS approved by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE). ILCA is a long-term provider with IBLCE. Approval Number CLT-108-7.
